It is a big investment - and we do not take that lightly. Our clients often tell us they wish they began training sooner.
We're here to support you and your dog every step of the way on your training journey. We provide clear, easy-to-follow steps and real-life results. Still on the fence? Our reviews speak for themselves.
Our areas of focus are reactivity to dogs on walks or people, fear of strangers (aggression to strangers), manners, and puppy training. We do not currently take inter-household dog aggression. But please contact us, we can recommend a wonderful trainer who can help!
Dog-cat cohabitation training is a specialty. Please contact my colleague, Naomi Rottenberg of Praiseworthy Pets. She is a certified trainer who specializes in dog-cat cohabitation and can help.
Yes, we are happy to work with clients who have used ecollars, prong collars, vibrating collars, or other training methods in the past. This is a judgement free zone.
However, in order for us to work together, you must cease use of those items. We use food rewards in training and use positive reinforcement, force-free dog training methods exclusively.
Sort of! Check out our Done-for-you training section!
A note about board and train in York, PA: Currently, there are no positive reinforcement and force-free board and train programs in York county, PA or in the surrounding areas. If your dog is struggling with aggression, fear, reactivity or other unwanted behavior you are best served working with a positive reinforcement force-free trainer who will meet with you for private 1:1 sessions.
Keep in mind that if your dog goes to board and train, you cannot see what the trainer is doing with your dog. You may not be comfortable with the methods used but will not be present to intervene. Also, even if your dog has been boarded for a vacation before, boarding in a training facility kennel is often extremely stressful for dogs. Especially dogs with fear, aggression, reactivity etc.
You may reschedule/cancel your appointment up to 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations will result in the forfeiture of your fee and session. If we arrive at your home and you are not there within 15 minutes of our scheduled session, you forfeit your fee and session. You may reschedule an appointment up to two times. After that, you forfeit your fee and session.
We are happy to offer payment plans for 6-session packages. Note that if you opt to not finish all your sessions for any reason, you are still responsible for the full amount of the 6-session package you booked.
Sessions included in all dog training packages expire four months after the date of purchase. This four-month expiration period exists to ensure consistent progress is made during our training sessions, facilitating the achievement of our established goals.
